From 14 to 28 April 2024, our 10 students took part in a work placement with employers in Málaga, Spain, within the Erasmus Mobility+ programme. The 3rd year students had a unique opportunity to apply their existing knowledge and skills directly in practice and at the same time get to know Spanish culture and history.  

Before leaving, students had to write CVs and describe their area of interest. They were then assigned to individual companies. Lucie Beránková, Martin Felenda (3.EA), Veronika Uhrinová (3.SA) and Jáchym Šonka (3.EB) worked in the company E- Tron scooter. Denis Majrich and Miroslav Sojka (3.EA) completed their internship in the company Comercial elektro, Martin Šimek (3.SA) together with Quang son Bui (3.SB) were employed in the car workshop Leiva Bus and finally Karel Maček and Vít Suchan (3.SB) worked in the car service Taller Cronos Imnova.  

The students had the opportunity to practice their English as well as learn some Spanish words. Both work weeks were dedicated to internships in companies and after their work duties students had time to visit the sights, sunbathe on the beach, swim in the sea and get to know the Spanish culture. During their free time they visited the historical sites of Malaga. During an English guided tour with a local guide, students explored the Alcazaba Fortress and Gibralfaro with beautiful views of the city and harbor. They also visited the main avenue and the cathedral. The interpretation was engaging and the students were able to practice their English skills and learn many historical facts. On Sunday, the students visited the beautiful village of Frigiliana and the seaside resort of Nerja as part of a day trip to experience the famous beaches here. The trip also included a visit to the unique Cueva de Nerja stalactite cave. 

This great foreign experience brings a number of benefits. One of them is that the work placement will be confirmed in the Europass of the individual students, who will be able to add it to their professional CV. Thanks to the fact that the school management managed to obtain funding for this internship through the Erasmus Mobility+ programme, the students have their entire stay paid for, including their pocket money.

MM. la Rosaleda, Tobiáš Dvořák and Libor Pytel (4.EB) at Comercial Electro Ortega-Anor Electroteleco, Pavlína Koubová (4.SA) and Ondřej Humpolec (4.SB) at Taller Cronos Imnova, Ondřej Sípal (4.SA) and Matěj Kliš (4.SB) at Talleres Escasur and Tereza Morávková and Martin Tantzer (4.SA) at Copyrap Nave de Producción. The students had the opportunity to practise their English as well as to learn some Spanish words.
