Within the Erasmus Mobility+ project, a number of student internships with foreign employers took place in 2024/25. Our colleagues from the teaching staff were also able to look abroad and develop professionally through job shadowing.

Deadline: 12.6. -11.9. 2024

Number of participants: 2 students

From 12.6. to 11.9. 2024 took place Erasmus Mobility+ long-term work placement of our graduates in technical companies in Málaga, Spain. The students had the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained throughout their studies, while expanding their professional portfolio.

Students had to first write a CV and a motivation letter, on the basis of which they were selected for the internship. After successfully passing the final exam, the selected students Libor Pytel (4.EA) and Ondřej Humpolec (4.SA) went on a three-month internship in companies according to their specialization. The students completed their internship in companies Etronscooter and ETRONwhere they assisted in carrying out routine maintenance on scooters, diagnosing and troubleshooting common problems and assisting mechanics and electricians.

In addition to their work duties, the students also practiced their English language skills. This great experience abroad brought with it many positives. One of them is the confirmation of the work placement in the Europass of the students, who will be able to put it on their professional CV. In addition, thanks to the fact that the school management managed to obtain funding for this internship from the Erasmus Mobility+ programme, the students had their stay paid for.

Deadline: 13-26.11. 2024

Number of participants: 10 students + 1 teacher

From 13 to 26 November 2024, selected fourth year students participated in a work placement within the Erasmus+ programme. This time the placement took place in Dublin, Ireland, with a total of 10 pupils and their supervisors. The students were selected on the basis of the teachers' recommendations and the proper completion of all pre-departure obligations. The students stayed in homestays where they could get to know the typical Irish household, culture and cuisine. The internship was work-based, so the pupils were placed in six different technical companies according to their specialisation:

Vít Suchan and Karel Macek (4.SB) worked in the company Accutool on the production of components using CNC technology. Miroslav Sojka (4.EA) and Jaroslav Kolouch (4.EB) were placed in the repair and service of iPhone phones Imend. Radim Barták (4.EA) and Jáchym Šonka (4.EB) were employed in the service of mobile phones and laptops IT Star. Matej Kopeček (4.EA) completed his internship at MicroPro Computers, which offers computer sales, service and repair. Student Tereza Böhmová (4.SA) worked in an engineering manufacturing company Prism Engineering. Finally, students Quang Bui (4.SB) and Veronika Uhrínová (4.SA) spent their internship in a company Stoney CNC, which designs and manufactures CNC machines.

Outside of work, the students were able to explore Dublin and its surroundings both on their own time after work and through two guided tours organised by Twin. On Saturday 19 October, they walked around the sights of Dublin city centre, accompanied by a colourful Irish guide who provided historical insights and folk anecdotes. On Sunday, October 20, despite the windy weather, they went for a hike along the Howth coast, where they enjoyed scenic views of the sea and sandwiches prepared by their host families at the edge of the cliff.

In my opinion, this mobility was very successful both in terms of professional and personal development of all participants. The students had a look abroad, where they gained many new experiences. For some of them, this internship was the first opportunity to use English in authentic communication with native and non-native speakers. In addition, according to the feedback from the companies where they worked, our students demonstrated both their knowledge and their work ethic, giving our school a good name in Ireland.
