Three activities took place within the project. The first was a short-term mobility of pupils to Limassol, Cyprus and Turin, Italy. Each of these mobilities was attended by 13 pupils and one teaching assistant. Thanks to the project, the pupils tested their theoretical knowledge and skills in a foreign language environment. Another activity was a long-term work placement in a company in Córdoba, Spain, in which 2 pupils participated. The third activity was a job shadowing of 2 teachers at an A-technical school in Limassol and 2 in Turin, Italy.

Name of participant/participant: Jan Novotný, Vojtěch Kodat
From 12 June to 11 September 2023, our 2 students took part in a long-term work placement with employers in Córdoba, Spain, as part of the Erasmus Mobility+ programme. Our students had a unique opportunity to apply their existing knowledge and skills directly in practice and at the same time get to know Spanish culture and history. Before leaving, students had to write CVs and describe their area of interest. At the same time, they completed online job interviews in English with the managers of each company and received language training.
Turin, Italy (17-28 April 2023) - Short-term mobility
Number of participants: 13 students + 1 teacher
Date: 17.4. - 28.4.2023
From 17 to 28 April 2023, our 13 students took part in a work placement with employers in the vicinity of Turin, Italy, within the Erasmus Mobility+ programme. This gave third year students a unique opportunity to put their existing knowledge and skills into practice and to learn about Portuguese culture and history.
Before leaving, students had to write CVs and describe their area of interest. They were then assigned to individual companies. Three students in electrical engineering worked in different positions at Escamotages, another five students in the same field worked at LGC ingegneria e architettura, three students in mechanical engineering were placed at AF Autonegozi, another student worked at LROVER and the last student worked at Perticari Gomme. Our students had the opportunity to practise their English as well as to learn some new Italian words.
Both working weeks were devoted to internships in companies and after work duties, the students had time to discover the splendours of the sunny and historic centre of Turin. As part of the excursions and during the free weekend, the students visited the city of Milan and the following day the Basilica of Superga, which stands on the hill of Monte Superga at 670 metres above sea level and overlooks the whole of Turin and the Italian Alps. During the second working week, students had the opportunity to visit the Museo Nazionala dell'Automobile and the Juventus Stadium after work.
This great international experience gives students the advantage of having their work placement confirmed in the individual students' Europass, so they can add it to their professional CV. Thanks to the fact that the school management was able to obtain funding for this internship through the Erasmus Mobility+ programme, the students have their entire stay paid for, including their pocket money.
Job shadowing Turin, Italy
Limassol, Cyprus (26 September - 7 October 2022) - short-term mobility
From 26 September to 7 October 2022, our 13 students took part in a work placement in the Erasmus Mobility+ programme in the partner A technical school in Limassol, Cyprus. The fourth year students were able to put their existing knowledge and skills directly into practice. For example, they tried out different welding techniques - the practical outcome was iron benches, which are now placed in the school's outdoor area and used by local students. The furniture made here is also sold to other schools in Limassol. In addition, our students tried wiring circuits according to the technical documentation of Thomason Machinery Ltd. They also met students from the partner school and were able to practice their English language skills.
The internship included a visit to and experience working in two local companies - Thomason Machinery Ltd and PZ Group of Companies (Pavlos Zenonos & Sons Ltd Scaffold and Formwork Systems). Here the students verified their theoretical knowledge (both in the field of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering) in practical operation. Both companies were very interesting and the staff were very helpful.
During the stay, our team was complemented by two teachers from our school who participated in job shadowing at a local A technical school. The purpose of their internship was to exchange experiences with Cypriot colleagues, participate in individual classes and visit companies.
After work duties, there was enough time every day to get to know the local culture, the sea and the delicious Cypriot cuisine. Limassol is a beautiful city that mixes elements of historical and modern architecture. During the excursions, the students also visited beautiful places on the Mediterranean coast. Participants from other countries also came on the trips with us, so there was again room to practice English.
This whole foreign experience has another advantage. The work placement will be confirmed in the Europass of the individual participants, who can also add it to their professional CV. Thanks to the fact that the management of our school was able to obtain funding for this internship through the Erasmus Mobility+ programme, the students and the job shadowing teacher had the whole stay paid for, including pocket money.
