CEPS Winter School
CEPS Group prepared a Winter School for our students, which was attended by the 4EB class on March 14 and 15, 2019.
The aim of the project was to familiarize students, as well as teachers, with the activities of CEPS, especially in the areas of transmission system management, operation and maintenance.
The winter school was an opportunity for students and teachers to meet with CEPS experts who deal with the management, operation and maintenance of the transmission system and to establish long-term cooperation with them both on a professional and interpersonal level.
On March 14, an introductory lecture on the activities of CEPS was held, introducing the activities of the departments of administration, operation and maintenance of the transmission system by the graduates of our school. Ing. Michal Rotbauer described the principle of PST transformer. This transformer with controlled phase shifting is a device that can significantly contribute to the continuous influence of the distribution of power flows in the network - regulation of transmitted power in both directions.
On 15 March we visited the Kočín substation, where reconstruction is currently underway. Then we moved to the Dasný substation. The whole event ended in the Budvarka restaurant, where the final evaluation took place.
