At the workshop, organized in cooperation with colleagues from Fragaria, s. r. o., the company that developed the Karmen system, visitors learned about the revolutionary system of remote management of 3D printers. The aim was to show participants how a printer can be connected and controlled from any location, how to efficiently schedule print files and manage multiple 3D printers using a simple user interface.
Together with my colleagues and our students, we tried to present the whole system from different perspectives. First, we demonstrated the process of connecting and setting up the printer for remote control. Using modern technology, we showed the participants how they can access the printer from any device with an internet connection through simple steps.
Another important point was to introduce the participants to the planning of print files for the print queue. We showed how print jobs can be organized efficiently and print time can be optimized. By previewing the print files before the actual printing, we enabled the participants to review and adjust their projects before their physical implementation.
One of the most interesting elements of the workshop was the demonstration of managing multiple 3D printers from one user interface. We demonstrated how you can effectively coordinate multiple printers to get maximum performance when producing 3D models.
Overall, the "Remote Management of 3D Printers" workshop provided an inspiring insight into the future of 3D printing. In a world where technology is constantly evolving, the concept of remote 3D printer management offers a wide range of possibilities to work more efficiently with 3D printers and opens the door for further innovation in the creative industry and education.
