Teaching at the School of Secondary Education from 12 October 2020

On the basis of measures issued by the Ministry of Education and Science, changes have been made in the organisation of teaching at the SE Secondary School.

Our main goal is to prepare students in their final year for graduation and to minimize the effects of distance learning from the last school year. Since, especially in vocational subjects, students' personal non-participation is a major problem, we have prepared for students in grades 3 and 4 special schedule. We assume that pupils can participate in practical training and that practical training includes exercises (§ 14 of Decree 13/2005 on secondary education and conservatory education). With regard to staffing and room space, as well as the pupils' capabilities, the lessons will be taught in 4 lessons in blocks of two or more hours. Subjects that are not taught full-time will be taught at a distance, taking into account the possibilities of the pupils (commuting) especially off-line (teachers will give students assignments, no on-line classes).

Pupils in Years 1 and 2 will have fully distance learning, especially in M, AJ and ČJ, assignments from vocational subjects will be given especially off-line. We decided to take this step because of the heavy workload of teachers of vocational subjects in full-time teaching of 3rd and 4th years. In this difficult situation, we tried to choose the most appropriate solution with the assumption that the pupils in Years 1 and 2 will have time to complete and consolidate the material covered remotely in the standard teaching, which should take place from November. As some of the pupils are accommodated in youth hostels, we do not consider it appropriate to include one day of teaching in the school and the rest of the lessons to be dealt with by distance learning.

Teachers will write down the tasks given to pupils to this table.

Please note that participation in distance learning is compulsory.

The Ministry of Education has declared a holiday for the week of 26-30 October 2020.
