On 4 November 2026, the third sleep-over of this school year took place. This time, the school gym was taken over by the pupils of Class 1. S.
As with previous events, the programme began with a joint lesson led by the class teacher. Afterwards, the pupils were looked after by psychology students from the Faculty of Education at the University of South Bohemia, who had prepared a varied programme full of team-building and bonding activities for them. A big thank you to them for the superbly organised programme!
The first activity was the ‘Molecules’ game, in which the students formed groups of varying sizes according to the given parameters. This was followed by the ‘Blind, Deaf and Dumb’ game. The task of the ‘mute’ member of the group was to explain the assigned task to the others – to build a bridge out of spaghetti. The bridge then had to pass a load-bearing test. The strongest bridge managed to support an incredible three mandarins and two small pumpkins!
The final activity was what is known as a ‘living photograph’. Each group was tasked with portraying one of the given themes in such a way that their classmates could recognise it. The scenes included, for example, a pearl diver, a sunrise, a mountaineer in the Himalayas and a miner in a mine.
The pupils took an active part in the programme that had been organised, and all the activities helped to bring the class even closer together.
The official programme was followed by a group dinner. The students got together and ordered some pizzas, which were just what they needed after spending the afternoon together.
The evening continued with a game of hide-and-seek, a favourite pastime. The pupils really enjoyed it in the school’s dimly lit corridors. There was also time for some sporting activities in the sports hall and the gym.
The morning included a group breakfast and a final review of the whole event.
The sleepover thus provided another opportunity to get to know one another better, work together and enjoy spending time together outside of normal lessons.
