Students from CTU presented their formula, which they designed and constructed themselves. We also had room for questions. We watched several commented presentations on the design of the formula, engine, tyres and aerodynamics. "The type of tyres determines the whole build of the formula, " said the pilot and CTU student. The most interesting information was that the formula contains a hybrid system with electric motors that help it during corner exits.
The featured formula is probably the only formula hybrid in the entire world. It was designed by the team as the fifth in the series and is the fastest of all the ones built so far. The team has raced this formula all over Europe.
A group of our students was divided into three stations, from where we could watch the fast driving of the formula. During the whole program we had the opportunity to try driving in the formula, but only on the prepared simulator. We did not get into the cockpit of the formula yet, maybe in the future as students of CTU.
At the end of the event we drew lots and the winners took away for example a drill or T-shirts from the sponsor company Robert Bosch, spol. s r. o., which organized and financed the event.
