Technical basics on bikes, this time at Dobrá Voda Primary School

During the programme, the pupils had the chance to try their hand at tasks such as using a small lathe or soldering. An activity in which they assembled their own torch also attracted a great deal of interest. It is precisely activities like these that show children technology in a different light – not just as something to be learnt from a textbook, but as something they can touch, create and see the results of their work straight away.

Throughout the visit, it was clear that the pupils enjoyed the technical activities. They engaged actively in the various tasks, worked skilfully and were not afraid to try new things. For many of them, this was their first close encounter with activities that are a standard part of technical disciplines.

We consider events like this to be extremely beneficial. They help primary school pupils discover their own abilities and develop an interest in technology even before they decide on their future studies.
