In the first part, PhDr. Petr Valenta, Ph.D., spoke about the history of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and then explained terms such as parliamentarism and bicameralism. The second lecture was given by Mgr. Štěpán Pecháček, Ph.D., who shared some information about the system of elections to both chambers and the issue of the party-political system. The third speaker was JUDr. Petr Kolář, Ph.D., who explained the legislative process in the Czech Republic. The last speaker was JUDr. Jana Francová, who explained the function of the European Parliament and the importance of the Czech Republic in the European Union.
