Pupils from the Písek primary school visited the school workshops (18 January 2024)

On Thursday 18 January 2024, pupils from the T. G. Masaryk Primary School in Písek visited our school and workshops at their own request. Under the guidance of Mgr. Ivan Lavička and Mr. Petr Rákos, they tried some mechanical and electrical practical procedures.

These were 15 pupils of the 9th grade of the T. G. Masaryk Primary School in Písek, who were accompanied by Ing. Vovesná. The pupils were divided into two halves. One group visited the power engineering workplace and, under the guidance of Mr. Rákos, carried out physical wiring of lighting circuits. The second group tried to outline a workpiece at the locksmith's workplace, then drilled and cut the internal metric M8 thread into the pre-prepared holes using a hand thread set. Subsequently, they cut an M8 metric external thread on the prepared bar steel material using a circular tapping jaw.

After successfully completing these tasks, the pupils moved to the lathe workplace where, after a short training in occupational health and safety, they performed under the supervision of Mgr. Bench turning of the outer cylindrical surface. Finally, during a short tour of our school, the pupils visited the key classrooms of SPŠSE, where they were provided with information and support materials about the possibilities of studying at our school.
