All teaching staff gathered on Tuesday 25 August 2026 at 8.30 am for the opening staff meeting in the lecture theatre. During the preparatory week, teachers will then attend several training courses: health and safety at work training, professional competence training in electrical engineering, a first-aid course, a practical school safety course covering emergency situations, cybersecurity training, training for form tutors (administration, day-to-day tasks and communication), and training for those interested in using Bakalář or Microsoft.
A great deal of attention is paid to preparing first-year pupils. Form tutors, together with the school management and the school’s educational support team, focus on induction activities and on how best to help pupils settle into their new environment during their first few days. The school aims, particularly during the first term, to identify any issues early on and help new pupils adapt to secondary school life.
In addition to meetings and training sessions, subject-specific committees are holding meetings throughout the week. Teachers are preparing for the new school year, organising classrooms, specialist classrooms and collections, and finalising the specific format of lessons for individual subjects.
