On the basis of mutual cooperation, it was agreed that ŠKODA JS, a. s., would give lectures at our school, accompanied by practical demonstrations in the areas selected by our teachers, as part of the link between teaching and practice. The individual circuits were as follows:
1) nuclear reactors,
2) control and measurement - VT, PT, UT, magnet etc.,
3) Pumps, couplings and bearings,
4) 3D technology - 3D printing, scanning and virtual reality.
The classes were divided into halves so that each student could try out the chosen methods on their own. Students spent 1 hour and 15 minutes at each workstation. First, they had a short introduction to the topic and then practical demonstrations followed.
The most positive feedback was on the activities in the 3D technology section, where students saw demonstrations of 3D printing in both plastics and metals. Afterwards, students could try their own scanning with a 3D scanner. In addition, everyone appreciated the opportunity to personally try defectoscopy testing of materials to detect internal and surface defects.
