The lecture covered, among other things, the development of social networks and awareness of the risks associated with the use of the Internet. It was followed by short entrances of the police officer to the first year classes, where students had the opportunity to discuss individually with the lecturer what they were interested in.
The event was a follow-up to previous activities of the School Counselling Centre staff in individual classes that took place during October. The topics of the special classes then included freedom of speech, anonymity in the online environment, hate speech, taking and distributing photos and cyberbullying. Our goal is to make sure that students know what they can and cannot do, what the consequences can be and what to do if they find themselves in a challenging situation online.
