Lecture for 3.SB - European Funds

On Monday, 4 December 2023, a lecture was scheduled for class 3.SB within the subject ZSV by Ing. Lenka Krejčová, coordinator of information activities about ESI funds from Eurocenter České Budějovice.

Ing. Krejčová arrived in class 3.SB and first gave the pupils a short test on the EU member states. During her lecture we learned, among other things, how the EU budget is decided, what the priorities of the EU budget are and how the EU money reaches the Czech Republic through the distribution of money, prioritization, operational programmes and project funding. We found out how difficult it is to get a subsidy and what controls are used to secure subsidies, not only from the EU.

The second half of the lecture was devoted to a brief description of individual operational programmes, such as IROP, OP TAK, OP JAK, etc. The lecturer also explained concepts such as sustainability criteria and mandatory publicity. In the presentation we got to know a number of places in our vicinity that are also financed from European funds - e.g. the Vltava Waterway, the reconstruction of the Klet tower or the new building of the South Bohemian Scientific Library in České Budějovice.

Thank you to the staff of Eurocenter České Budějovice for arranging lectures at SPŠ SE!
