On September 27, 2018, four polytechnic seminars were held at our school, which were aimed at promoting students' education in various fields. These seminars were attended by pupils from the Dobrá Voda Primary School near České Budějovice. The total number of pupils from this school who visited Č. Budějovice was 23 and they were accompanied by a two-person pedagogical supervision. Upon arrival, the pupils were divided into four smaller working groups to visit the various seminars according to their area of focus. Each of the areas was assigned to a responsible lecturer, who introduced the topic under study to each group in turn and supplemented the theoretical areas with practical demonstrations that the students could try out themselves through small group work.

The first of the activities was the grinding and cutting of minerals, where the pupils themselves tried out how this activity is carried out. The aim here was to highlight the different densities and hardnesses of the different working materials. Another lecturer introduced the pupils to electrical circuits, their uses and how they can be measured. The third station was the virtual modelling of products and machines on PC. The last unit was photo editing on PC, where pupils were shown how to properly cut a photo, adjust saturation, colour undertones, sharpening, brightness, etc.
