Polytechnic days during the first semester of the school year 2023/2024
During the first half of the year, our school organized several Polytechnic Days for 9th grade pupils of primary schools.
On 28 November, 1 December and 4 December 2023, pupils from Dukelská Primary School (3 classes in total) visited our school. On 18 December 2023 and 19 January 2024 we were visited by pupils from the Matica School of Education (3 classes in total).
Upon arrival, the pupils were always divided into smaller working groups so that they could visit the individual stations according to their area of focus. Each area was assigned to a lecturer who introduced the topic both theoretically and practically (thanks to the division into small groups, the pupils could also try out the practical demonstrations themselves).
The stations focused on mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electromobility and computer technology. Pupils were introduced to, for example, digital photography editing, basic properties of materials from an engineering point of view, working with Voltík, grinding minerals, working with electrical material in workshops, etc.
We hope that the Polytechnic Days were beneficial for the pupils and that we will meet some of them in our school from September!
