Expert Lecture Core for the Future (21 February 2023)

On 21 February 2023, a lecture on nuclear energy was held in cooperation with the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant and ČEZ, a. s. The lecture took place in the auditorium of our school and was led by Mr. Pavel Šimák. The event was intended for all 1st graders.

The lecturer talked, accompanied by videos, about individual Resources energy (nuclear energyWaterwind, solar, thermal, etc.) and about their Benefits and disadvantages. In particular, the potential of nuclear Energy. Mr. Šimák explained to the pupils the the parts of a nuclear power plant, how it works, how beneficial it is for the environment and what the potential risks are in the event of an accident. 

Mr Šimek also spoke about his three-day internship at the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant under the so-called. . nuclear graduation. The internship is for students of the company's partner secondary schools ČEZ, a. s.

During the lecture, Mr Šimák asked the pupils various questions. For a correct answer, the pupils received a small reward (for example, a light bulb).
