The lecture began with an introduction to energy and a breakdown of electricity sources. From non-renewable sources, the core was singled out, followed by a comparison of the different energy sources. Here we learned that the future of energy is not based on renewables alone for the time being, but on their combination with nuclear.
The second part of the lecture was devoted exclusively to nuclear energy. From the first reactors, through atomic bombs, submarines and accidents, we have come to the present and the not too distant future, when fusion reactors will probably be used as energy sources.
At the end of the lecture there was a space for questions, which were answered by Dr. Drábová. The questions showed that fusion reactors were the most interesting for the audience. Overall, the lecture by this Czech nuclear physicist was extremely interesting and beneficial!
