Electromobility Roundtable (6 June 2024)

On 6 June 2024, an important event called the Round Table took place at the school, which brought together representatives of companies operating in the field of electromobility, representatives of universities and representatives from the region.

The aim of this meeting was not only to discuss the future and development of the field of electromobility, but also to present innovative projects of our students and discuss the possibilities of their application after graduation.

The event was held in a close circle of experts and the attendees had a unique opportunity to watch presentations of our students. They presented their creations, among which stood out the construction of electric scooters and rubber-powered wheelchairs. In addition, the year's work was presented, showing the technical prowess and creativity of the pupils in this new field.

During the discussions, the main focus was on the future of the new field of electromobility. Participants focused on how the industry should be designed to best meet market needs and technological advances. There was also discussion on the continuity of studies at universities and the future employment opportunities for graduates. It was stressed that cooperation between schools and companies is key to creating an educational programme that reflects current trends and practical requirements.

Continuing a new tradition, this June we hosted a roundtable on electromobility. This year we tried to involve regional institutions and focused on new developments in the field of electromobility as well as specific outcomes of our field and experiences with the course of study.

The roundtable was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, schools (Secondary Industrial School of Mechanical Engineering and Construction, Tábor; Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia), representatives of the South Bohemia Region (including the Mayor of České Budějovice), the electromobility platform, and representatives of Škoda Auto, a. s., and Robert Bosch, spol. s r. o. (partner of the electromobility course at our school).

We organized the whole event with Mr. Martin Klíma, who is in charge of electromobility at E.ON (E.ON Drive Infrastructure CZ, s. r. o.). You can read more about the event on his LinkedIn profile.
