The competition teams are composed of primary and secondary school students. In cooperation with a partner company, such a team prepares a task according to a precise specification set by a committee of experts from the South Bohemian Chamber of Commerce. Marek Buřič, Lukáš Brunclík, Lukáš Pavlík, Jiří Siegelbauer and Vojtěch Šišpela (2nd ER pupils) were nominated for our school. This team prepared and implemented a model of an airport in cooperation with EGE, spol. s r.o. and in accordance with the competition brief.
Entry to the airfield was controlled by an IP camera and allowed only to the IZS vehicles so that they could help the aircraft in distress. Our team built a model of the airfield, including a real burning aircraft, which was extinguished with water from a fire truck using a pump and sprinkler after the alarm was raised. Everything was done in automatic mode according to an embedded program designed and created by the students. The road to the airport was full of curves, but our vehicle managed it in the end and all went well.
Thanks to the excellent design, its implementation and especially the great commitment of all students who did not hesitate to devote dozens of hours of their free time to the competition, we won the regional round. Our school won the regional round for the third time in a row. The whole team is looking forward to the national round in Prague!
Congratulations and thank you for representing our school!
Presentation of year papers:
During the competition - during the break, when the expert jury evaluated the individual teams - two of our students, Matěj Kopeček and Denis Majrich from the 3rd EA, were the only ones to present their year's work. The other presentations were from commercial companies on their products. The presentations of both our students attracted great interest and response. The work of Matej Kopeček, who talked about the collaboration of two robotic arms, was a huge success and Matej spent a long time answering mainly questions from the experts present, who were amazed by his solution. Denis Majrich's spatial display also impressed everyone. Anyone who wanted to was even allowed to display their name entered via the keyboard on the spatial display.
