First, the students looked around the individual workshops, the expert explained and demonstrated the work in the forge, at the potter, at the bag maker, at the dyer, at the glass maker and at the baker. Finally, the students returned to the blacksmith and the bag-maker and created their own product - a metal rune and a leather bracelet based on the knowledge they had acquired.
The aim of the project day was to connect theoretical knowledge from the school environment with its application in practice. The students had their own experience of the forge from the first year, but also used the knowledge gained in vocational and general education classes. Students took away new knowledge, skills and experiences from the project day. Together, they also had the opportunity to reflect on the future of their field and different crafts and how they could apply their skills and knowledge in the future.
