On this day we were to get acquainted with the teaching at the faculty and with other activities at the faculty. The aim was to motivate us to continue our studies at FELU. This "other DOD" was organized and financed by Robert Bosch, spol. s r.o.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Ludvik the talking robot and divided into two groups. We visited the Department of Measurement and the Department of Telecommunications. In the morning we were shown the classrooms for the cyber security discipline and the development of the new 6G technology. For lunch we went to the local canteen. We all evaluated it very positively.
After lunch, we had a glimpse into the teaching and toured the robotics classrooms, the new nano lab for semiconductor development. We were also shown two very interesting projects. One is eForce, in which students design, build and race electric formulas. The other one is a combination of engineering and art school students, in which they create, for example, dance performances with graphic simulations of a dancer on the walls. I found the tutorial interesting, even though it is mostly aimed at IT and low voltage students. The only downside is the appearance of the school, with the grey unsightly architecture of the last century predominating.
