Nuclear Baccalaureate 2021

On 19 and 20 May, the Nuclear Baccalaureate, an annual discussion of 3rd and 4th year students with representatives of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant and the CEZ Group, took place.

However, unlike in previous years, this year's event was held exclusively via videoconference. Despite considerable technical and time constraints, the programme managed to fit in a lot of interesting information and space for questions.

The topics included primary and secondary circuit technologies, the issue of psychodiagnostics of employees, an introduction to the work at the nuclear power plant from a professional and general point of view, a lecture and discussion on the past, present and future of nuclear energy with Dana Drábová, Chairman of the SÚJB, a meeting with the Director of Temelín NPP Jan Kruml and others.

Despite the unconventional design, the event was extremely beneficial for the students of our school and many others from all over the country.
