Excursions in EGE
On 27 November 2019, as a power class of the study field Electrical Engineering, we participated with Mrs. Ing. Schandlová and Mr. Ing. Švec on an excursion to the long-running company EGE.
Here we witnessed an excellently executed presentation showing the progress of a single-phase earth connection in an overhead line and the subsequent compensation with a Peterson coil. We could also see the difference in the construction of high voltage lines in developed countries or, on the contrary, in developing countries. After the presentation, the guide took us to the plant where we could see the construction of the reactors and thus be able to connect the information given with practice. At the end of the excursion, each student received a parting gift, and we are grateful for the gifts and the excursion.
