After arriving in Velešín, the students were welcomed by a representative of the HR department who introduced them to basic information about the company, its focus and organizational structure. This was followed by a professional presentation focused on the production of hydraulic systems and aerospace components. The Head of Technology of the Aviation Division introduced the students to the specifics of production, the emphasis on quality and the high demands on precision and reliability of parts used in aviation.
After the theoretical introduction, the students moved to the production area of the aerospace division, where they had the opportunity to see small series production in practice. They were impressed by the modern machinery, quality control workplace and the testing room where demanding stress and functional tests are carried out. This part of the excursion illustrated the link between theory and practice and the importance of precise measurement and control.
The next part of the programme was led by the head of design, who guided the students through the mass production of hydraulic components, especially gear pumps. The students observed the entire production process - from the manufacturing of gears, through heat treatment to final assembly. It was also interesting to compare the different types of pumps and their use in practice.
During the excursion, students showed active interest and asked many questions about machining technology, production control and parts identification. The discussion with the experts from the practice was very beneficial and inspiring for them. The excursion offered the students a valuable insight into a real industrial environment and confirmed the importance of cooperation between the school and the practice. They left Velešín full of new knowledge and motivation for further studies in technical fields.
