The new laboratory focuses on the testing and certification of renewable energy technology components with a focus on solar power plants. The workplace has unique equipment by domestic standards and allows faster and more accurate testing of smaller energy devices.
The excursion programme consisted of 5 stations: gas engineering (cathodic protection), use of information technology in the operation of the distribution system, the laboratory itself, distribution metering and electromobility. The pupils present went through these stations in small groups. Each station was equipped with exhibits, giving the excursion the character of a professional exhibition. The employees of EG.D, a. s. also gave the pupils expert explanations about all the exhibits and answered any questions.
Mr. Jan Volek organized the excursion on behalf of EG.D, a. s.. Pupils appreciated the content and quality of the excursion very much, the topics of the workplaces expanded the substance of the taught subjects in the field of electricity production in renewable sources, electricity networks and electromobility.
