Excursions of 1.EM and 1.ER classes to the workplace of the South Bohemian Region Health Service and to the Alcohol Rescue Station

On 31 October 2022, two first year classes took part in an excursion to the ZZS JčK and the alcohol detention centre in České Budějovice. Pupils had a unique opportunity to learn about the organization, work and operation of rescue workers.

At the Emergency Department, the students saw, among other things, the rescue equipment and the vehicle fleet. They also learned about the basics of first aid, some of them also tried resuscitation and then got feedback on what to improve. The excursion also included a look at the premises of the alcohol detention centre, after which the pupils agreed that they would not like to end up in a cell at the detention centre.

Thanks to the helpful staff of the South Bohemian Health Service in Č. Budějovice for making the excursions possible and providing valuable information not only on first aid.
