Pupils were introduced to the whole concept of the South Bohemian rescue system. The programme included, among other things, the following points: familiarisation with the organisational set-up and functioning of the rescue service (types of cars, dispatching), first aid principles (artificial respiration, cardiac massage, ECG, oxygen and sugar measurements...), a tour of the ambulance equipment, a tour of the rescue station.
The reaction of the students to the whole excursion was very positive. Only the visit to the alcohol detention centre was not very popular, although the students were very interested in it. In general, it is necessary to spread awareness of first aid, so we are very happy that the staff of the ZZS JčK allowed us to have such an excursion at their workplace.
