In the plant we could see the whole process of bicycle production. However, the most interesting part of the production of classic bicycles was the line for centering the wheels and painting the frames using powder metallurgy. In the electric bicycle section, the development department prepared a demonstration of an electric bicycle laid out "on a table", on which we could try out how such a bicycle works and try to understand why it cannot be used as a motorcycle. In the production department, it also became clear that it is not only automotive companies (involved in the production of cars) that face problems in supplying components for production.
The excursion continued with a visit to the 110/22/6kV substation of Unicapital distribuce (formerly owned by ŠKODA AUTO, a. s.), where we were most interested in the 50s-era vault, the synchronous compensator and the transformer oil change workplace. However, we were not deprived of a tour of the outdoor substation accompanied by an interesting expert commentary.
