Excursion to the 400/110kV Dasný substation (20 June 2022)
On June 20, 2022, the 2.EB class took part in an excursion to the 400/110kV Dasný substation as part of the Echt practice.
Two minibuses provided free of charge by E.ON Česká republika, s.r.o. took us to the site. We also met pupils from SOŠE, COP Hluboká nad Vltavou, who had already returned from the tour of the substation. The reason for this meeting was the approaching storm, which would not allow us to maintain the required minimum safety standards during the excursion in the substation area.
Fortunately, the weather eventually calmed down and we were able to see the substation up close and listen to an interesting expert commentary. In the substation we saw the busbar system with the corresponding disconnectors, circuit breakers, switches and current and voltage measuring transformers. We also went to see the HDO transmitter, which is part of the substation.
We came back to school not only with small gifts for correct answers in the quiz, but especially with newly acquired information.
