The first group went to look at the production of pulse converters and the electronics used in trams and trolleybuses in general. The second group went on a tour of the manufacture of electric motors. Both tours were led by experienced company employees who gave the students clear information about the production and processing of these products.
We moved from Škoda Electric, a. s. to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of West Bohemia. Students could move around the building according to their own interest and visit individual laboratories focused on a particular field. Some students also visited the Faculty of Engineering.
At the end of the day both classes visited Pilsner Urquell. The guide showed us around the whole area, we looked for example at the boilers, the bottling plant or the cellar, where we also had a tasting.
The whole day excursion was very successful. The students had the opportunity to see the faculty where some of them will study in the future and the company where they may one day be employed.
