Adventures with technology

The organisation was in charge of the South Bohemian Chamber of Commerce. Pavilion T at the exhibition centre in Č. Budejovice was for one day a day of technology of companies and vocational schools of the region. It was a day for the little ones and children from the lower grades of primary schools. Our school exhibited a self-made jig for folding Hanoi towers controlled by a Simatic S7-1200 programmable logic machine with which visitors could compete in the speed of folding Hanoi towers. We then exhibited a set of two frequency generators that visitors could operate and watch on connected oscilloscopes how beautiful Lissajous patterns are created and how the signals look in the time domain. The children could also create their own images using a Bungard CCD2 milling machine, modified for marker drawing, loaned to our school in collaboration with TSE. Last but not least, we had several walking robots from Velleman and one driving robot with our logo that drove through the exhibition hall from Festo, while the signal from its camera was projected online onto the "base" (visitors)....We also had a Fischer pneumatic kit and the well-known Merkur kit. The day was a success and we look forward to lighting up the eyes of the little ones again next year with other exhibitors and introducing them to technology in a fun way.
