Distance learning at the Secondary School SE

On the basis of Resolution No. 1022 of the Government of the Czech Republic, the teaching at the School of Secondary Education will be conducted in a distance learning form.

Specifically, we will follow the points below, based on our experience with distance learning in Spring 2020:

  • teachers will regularly assign homework to pupils
  • assignment of works will be by e-mail, via Bachelors, or via MS Teams
  • all communication will be via school emails and Office 365
  • assignments will be given to pupils continuously, the difficulty of the tasks will be related to the weekly hourly allocation
  • the dates and method of submission of assignments will be included in the assignment, including information about the online classes
  • students are required to work out and hand in assignments responsibly, students are required to be available online during class time (the teacher will notify the student at least one day in advance if they need to be online)
  • assignments will be assessed and graded, grades will be entered into the Bachelor's
  • classification from distance learning is equivalent to classification from full-time learning
  • information on the tasks assigned will be updated regularly HERE
  • Students are required to check the to-do list daily
  • we ask parents to also check the to-do list and its completion
  • the classification of the assignments will be done within one week at the latest
  • the content and assessment of homework is regularly dealt with by subject committees
  • teachers not only assign tasks, but also pass on information to understand the material, respond to any suggestions from students
  • in case of problems, pupils/parents contact the class teachers
  • if the pupil is not able to work online, he/she will arrange to hand in the assignments at the school office
  • pupils are banned from school from 14 October 2020 until further notice

Please note that according to the school regulations, participation in distance learning is compulsory and any absence must be excused to the class teacher.

In view of the current situation, the Board of Education will discuss a change to the school's classification regulations - specifically, the holding of board examinations in the event of higher absences.
