26th CIRED Conference (14-15 November 2023)
On 14 and 15 November 2023, the 26th CK CIRED Conference was held at the Exhibition Grounds in České Budějovice under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Energy Regulatory Office.
CIRED (Congres International des Reseaux Electriques de Distribution/International Conference on Electricity Distribution) is an international association established to facilitate the exchange of the latest research, knowledge and experience in the field of electricity distribution networks. The conference programme included a series of lectures held in two lecture theatres. The conference was also combined with an exhibition of companies operating in the energy sector (33 exhibitors in total were present). At the invitation of the distribution company EG.D, a. s., 5 selected pupils from the 4th EB class attended both days of the conference, and subsequently EnerGoConsult ČB, s. r. o., arranged entry for all 4th EB pupils (electrical engineering and electrical machinery) on the second day of the conference (i.e. 15 November 2023). The students listened to very useful and up-to-date lectures on topics in the field of electrical power engineering and power grids and toured the exhibitors' stands. The lectures and the exhibition were a very useful complement to the teaching (especially in the subject of electricity).
