The tournament was attended by 15 secondary schools from the České Budějovice district. The teams were always made up of three girls and three boys, which was a difficult but not insoluble task for our school. We were drawn by the organizers into a group with the Secondary School of Automotive and Technical from Skuherského Street and the sports Gymnasium Česká. In the first match, after a very combative performance, we won 2:0 on sets and we were waiting for the second match to qualify for the final tournament. The team of the Gymnasium Česká, as the winner of last year's edition with several representatives in the line-up, was already from the beginning the favourite of the tournament. Our pupils bravely resisted, but even a performance at the limit was not enough for the favourite. In the end, we took a split 5th place, which is a great success for our school considering the competition.
Thank you to all participants (Tomáš Vališ from 1.ER; Tomáš Míka from 2.EE; Tereza Böhmová and Tat'ána Vondrová from 3.SA; Lucie Beránková, Tomáš Paštika and Matyáš Valta from 3.EA; Tomáš Kučera from 3.EB) for representing our school! The biggest praise deserves Tomáš Paštika, who secured at least 80 % of all our points.
