1.EE took part in a programme organised by the British Embassy in České Budějovice

On Wednesday, 20 May 2026, Class 1.EE took part in the accompanying programme of the British Embassy, which symbolically „moved“ to Přemysl Otakar II Square in České Budějovice for this day. The square was filled with both the iconic red double-decker and a model of the legendary Spitfire aircraft from World War II, commemorating the Czechoslovak airmen's time in the RAF.

The main point of our programme was a knowledge quiz organised by the British Council. Pupils tested their knowledge of the UK in a fun way, actively participated and really enjoyed the event. The programme took place in a very pleasant atmosphere and was an interesting diversification of the English language lessons and social overview.

The presentation of the DofE's international programme - the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - was also of great benefit. The students were very interested in this challenge and for many of them it was a great motivation for personal development, volunteering or sports activities. It is definitely an experience worth trying.

We would like to thank the British Embassy and the organisers for a successful event and a lot of interesting experiences.
