SPŠSE students at the CIRED 2025 conference in České Budějovice

Two classes from the field went to the conference Electricity - 4.EE a 2.EE. Although the participation of the second year was a question at first, it turned out that even the younger pupils were able to appreciate the professional programme. For them, a lecture on Blackout in Spain and Portugal, which was a great success thanks to its clear and engaging presentation.

No less interesting was accompanying exhibition, where students could learn about the latest technologies and trends in the electricity sector. Some exhibitors even adapted their displays to the students:

• CEZ Prepared by 3D virtual tour of their facilities.
• EG.D enabled pupils to try out working on the equipment high voltage.
• Seidl Group organized a competition in the installation of electricity meters with attractive prizes.
• ČEZ Distribuce presented by meter cabinets and new HDO Relay Boxes.
• GMC - measuring technology - explained the characteristics of modern measuring instruments.
• Siemens demonstrated HV switchboards without using SF₆ gas.
• Photomate Presented by battery systems for energy storage.

Thanks to this event, our students gained an overview of a wide range of technologies that shape today's electricity industry in just a few hours. It was not only a great opportunity for them to supplement their theoretical knowledge, but also an inspiration for their future career.
