Trip and excursion 3.EB: Římov hydroelectric power station (28 June 2023)

We took public transport to the Kamenný Újezd - Krasejovka stop, from where we had a 4 km journey to Římov. We made it without much trouble and after half past 10 we checked in with Mr. hrázný. We walked along the dam of the water reservoir Římov. Mr. Dammer explained us how the dam and reservoir were created, how the power plant is designed, how the turbines work, how much electricity is produced daily in the power plant, etc. He supplemented the expert explanation with interesting stories from his work. All the information obtained can be used by the students to prepare their graduation questions. We went back to České Budějovice directly from Rome.
