Among the nine best teams from the Czech Republic and Slovakia there was also a team from our school consisting of Lukáš Zdychynec, Jerguš Tóth, Matěj Johanus and David Janošt'ák (3rd ER).
The task of each team was to build a vehicle that would push two opponents out of the circular arena and block the centre of the arena. The task was made even more difficult by the fact that the arena rotated and tilted in two perpendicular axes. The vehicle had to move in the arena and aim towards the centre of the arena, reaching the centre of the arena was the main task of the competition. And on the way to the center, the opponents' vehicles had to be removed. In the end it actually became a robot duel, where first the opponents had to be eliminated, and then the center of the arena could be occupied.
The first round wasn't the best for us, but we made it at least to the small finals. Then all the strengths of our car were put into practice. The result was 4th place.
All participants of the national final received an interesting intangible prize, which is that if they decide to start their studies at this university, they do not have to take the entrance exams in mathematics and physics and will be directly admitted to study.
