This year, the competition was held in the new TNC 7 system from Heidenhain, which the students had the opportunity to get acquainted with in class only a few weeks before the event. Nevertheless, they entered the competition with enthusiasm and maximum effort.
The journey to Brno took place in the morning hours, the pupils set off at 6:30 am in the school electric car. After a roughly three-hour journey, they arrived at the venue of the competition, where strong competition awaited them. Although they did not manage to place among the top three this time, the pupils demonstrated their knowledge and their desire to succeed in the challenging discipline.
The programme also included a demonstration of machining a competition part on the MCV 1016 CNC machine, which was very beneficial for the students. They had the opportunity to observe the real machining process and compare it with the results of virtual programming.
The competition was followed by a visit to the Brno trade fair, which offered the students further inspiration and an overview of modern trends in engineering. The day ended with a return to České Budějovice.
