Third place in the Talent - Profi competition - national final with international participation

On 16 and 17 June 2025, the 9th National Final of the T-Profi Czech Skills Junior Technical Talent Competition took place. The venue of the competition was Aquapalace Hotel Prague.

In the finals, the 13 best regional teams competed, supplemented by one team from Poland. They competed not only for interesting prizes, but mainly for the best representation of their team, their school, their partner company and their region.

As in the regional round, the competition team is composed of primary school pupils and secondary school students led by a captain from the partner company. This team, according to the assignment of the committee consisting of experts from CTU, professional companies and the Chamber of Commerce, must compile a task according to extensive technical documentation within a time limit of 135 minutes. In the final evaluation, every detail is assessed, the correct position of every screw, every wire. The adjustment of the scales this year required an adjustment with an accuracy of 0.2 mm. Indeed, all it takes is for a screw to be put in the opposite way to what is drawn in the documentation and the team is penalized.

Our school nominated Lukáš Zdychynec, Jerguš Tóth and Matěj Johanus, all from the 2nd ER. This team, supplemented by three pupils from Dukelská Primary School (2 girls and one boy from 5th grade), prepared and implemented scales based on a strain gauge and a racing car body in accordance with the competition brief. At the end, each team had to drive their car precisely into the weighing system, weigh the vehicle and drive the whole track in the shortest time. It wasn't easy, many teams had various accidents, but our team managed everything without hesitation and in the best time.

Thanks mainly to the great commitment of all the students who did not hesitate to sacrifice dozens of hours of their free time in preparation for this national final, we took third place overall.
