The project connects our school with the Dukelská Primary School and from this year introduces technically oriented teaching in the 6th grade at its second level. Gradually, the project will be extended to all grades of the second grade, from 6th to 9th grade. Our school has already held entrance examinations for this specialised class.
This is a completely unique concept in the Czech Republic. Just as some elementary schools prepare their pupils for grammar schools, we, together with the Dukelská Elementary School, offer children the opportunity to develop their technical skills and prepare them to study polytechnics.
Our teachers from SPŠ SE will teach two hours a week of specialized lessons directly focused on polytechnics at Dukelská Primary School. The children will thus gain not only deeper knowledge, but above all practical experience, the opportunity to work with modern tools and connect theory with practice.
The project was supported by the South Bohemian Region and the City of České Budějovice. "We believe that this is an important step for the future of our region - technical fields have a strong position here and there is a great demand for qualified professionals," said the Mayor of České Budějovice. Budějovice Dagmar Škodová Parmová.
