Students Marek Buřič and Tobiáš Němec on internship within the programme Erasmus+ have been offered a unique opportunity to work for Portmarnock Motors in Dublin, Ireland. During their apprenticeship, they were involved in the day-to-day running of the garage where they were involved in both routine and more complex vehicle repairs. Their workload included replacing brake pads, re-grouting and balancing tyres, as well as assisting with brake repairs, engine overhauls and repairing minor bodywork damage.
The internship allows students to develop professional skills, learn modern working practices and get to know the specifics of the Irish working environment. They gained valuable experience in the field of vehicle construction, as well as new insights into the culture, language and everyday life in Ireland. This stay abroad is an interesting contribution to both their professional and personal lives.
