Scholarship of the Mathematics for the Czech Republic Foundation for Mrs. Šímová

In May 2025, the teacher Mgr. Šímová was selected among 60 aspiring teachers from all over the Czech Republic who received a scholarship from the Mathematics for the Czech Republic Foundation. The aim of the programme is to draw attention to the long-standing shortage of mathematics, physics and computer science teachers and at the same time motivate new teachers who have decided to devote themselves to teaching these key subjects.

Approximately 400 applicants applied, from which 60 scholarship recipients were selected to be supported financially, as well as through mentoring and educational activities during the following school year.

Teacher Šímová attended the opening ceremony of the programme, which took place on 4 June 2025 at the Opera Business Hub in Prague. The evening also included inspiring lectures by leading Czech teachers, sharing of good practice and the opportunity to network with other aspiring and experienced teachers from different parts of the country.
