Sports and hiking course 9.-13.9.2024 Nová Pec, Lipno

On the first day of the course we managed the train journey to the venue and the boat training on C2 and some of us on K1.

On Tuesday, both classes set off on foot to Pěkná, where the boats were waiting for us. The rest of the day was taken up with rafting the upper Vltava and part of the Lipno.

Wednesday was marked by a bike trip. Group A managed to visit Vítek's Castle and Group B managed to visit the Schwarzenberg Canal Museum, Stožec and the speed premium with a climb to Stožec Chapel. Both groups had over 50km in their legs by the campfire in the evening.

On Thursday, the weather was already dictating the tone.... We only managed a quick walk between the raindrops.

Friday was only a cleaning day due to bad weather and after lunch we returned to České Budějovice by train.

I would like to commend everyone involved for their brave sporting performances both on bike, on foot and on boats. Unfortunately only the weather prevented the course plan for 100 % from being fulfilled.
