Cooperation between the SPŠSE and the University of South Bohemia

In the school year 2024/2025, the intensive cooperation between our school and the University of South Bohemia (PF, FF and PřF JČU) continued and expanded.

Our goal is to actively participate in the preparation of future teachers and offer them the opportunity for quality teaching practice in a real secondary school environment.

Assistantships and tandem teaching

In the summer semester, the traditional assistantship practice of third-year students of the Faculty of Arts of the South Bohemian University took place, who attended Czech language and literature classes led by Mgr. Ludmila Petržalová. In total, 8 listening sessions and reflections took place, involving almost 40 students.

We have also newly established cooperation with the Faculty of Arts of the South Bohemian University, where students independently chose the school and teachers they wanted to visit. At our school they attended classes of Mgr. Ludmila Petržalová and this time it was not only ČJL lessons, but also history. In this form, they visited our school for a total of almost 50 lessons and about 10 hours of teaching they tried themselves in tandem - preparing exercises, leading parts of lessons or creating tests. Approximately 30 FF students were involved.

Group hearings and reflections on teaching

Mgr. Ludmila Petržalová (in the function of accompanying teacher) also organized three group visits of 2nd year students of the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Arts of the South Bohemian University, during which the students observed teaching from various aspects - especially teacher-student communication and work with the class team. This included a tour of the school, a meeting with the headmaster and the SPD, reflection on listening sessions, consultation of pedagogical diaries and feedback. Approximately 30 undergraduate students attended and rated the event very positively.

CŽV - pedagogical minimum

Our school was also visited by three groups of participants of the Lifelong Learning Programme, who are completing the so-called "pedagogical minimum". Three listening sessions and subsequent reflections took place, involving about 30 participants.

Lectures and exercises for students of the South Copernicus University

As part of the cooperation, Mgr. Ludmila Petržalová was approached by PF JČU to conduct lectures and exercises for students of the follow-up master's studies (about 40 participants) and participants of CŽV. She dealt with practical topics of the teaching profession - the topics were: classroom management, classroom lessons, other TU agenda, adaptation activities, communication with parents, communication with the SPD, classroom and school climate, teacher's rights, school rules, discipline, formative assessment, feedback, reflection and other issues of pedagogical practice. The classes were conducted in the form of interactive exercises and the students evaluated them very positively.

We consider the cooperation with the University of South Bohemia to be extremely beneficial and we look forward to further joint projects in the coming year.
