Cooperation with primary schools

Cooperation with primary schools is an important part of our support for technical education as well as recruiting future students.

We implement it through Technical Olympiads, Polytechnic Days and individual forms of cooperation. Primary school pupils are also always welcome at our leisure activities.

Ways of cooperation

School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Dukelská offers primary schools four main forms of cooperationthat systematically promote technical education and help students discover their passion for technical fields.

All these activities have a common goal - to show primary school pupils that the technique is fun, practical and forward-looking a field that can open doors to a successful career.

🏫 Technical basic

The Technical Primer is an innovative educational project that connects primary and secondary industrial school. This project will enable the pupils of the technical primary school twice a week for two hours attend modern, well-equipped workshops that allow them to gain practical experience in various technical areas.

For more information about this special class, please visit Technical base.

The creation of this class is supported by the South Bohemian Region, the Statutory City of České Budějovice, ČEZ and the University of South Bohemia.

🛠️ Polytechnic Days

Every year we organize for registered primary schools Polytechnic days, where their pupils will go through a total of four prepared stationsthat their schools choose from the options on offer.

During these days, the pupils will, for example:

  • try working with the Voltík kit,
  • try out working with PASCO trucks,
  • perform simple wiring of electrical circuits,
  • measure the atmospheric pressure,
  • modifies the surface of the parts by grinding them,
  • or determine the mechanical properties of materials by tear testing.

Students and their teachers have traditionally evaluated the programme very positively, which you can read about in our reports on the polytechnic days.

Do not hesitate to contact us contact us in the form below and our representative for cooperation with primary schools (Mgr. Jiří Thám) will get back to you!

If you have any questions, you can also reach him at tham@spssecb.cz.

🤖 Technical Olympiad

Every year, we offer primary school pupils who enjoy technology the opportunity to exercise their own creativity in completing tasks Technical Olympiads.

The goal of the competition is not to count or describe machines, but to make something of your own. Each task has a simple assignment and it's up to the contestants how they solve it.

The best solvers will advance to the regional round and everyone who submits a solution and applies to our school, will get extra points in the admissions process.

The Technical Olympiad takes place every year - after the problems are published, students usually have until mid-February to upload their solutions to the appropriate form.

It is located directly on the Technical Olympiad website, including the assignment for the school year.
