On this page you will find overview of universitieswe work with and the ways in which we link secondary and higher education.

Day for universities

Every year, on the premises of our school SPŠ SE Dukelská takes place presentations by partner schools and other interested parties. Within the framework of this project Days for universities all fourth-year students will hear basic information about the universities (and colleges) and their faculties present.

Traditionally, we present:

  • ZČU Pilsen (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering),
  • CTU Prague (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering),
  • BUT Brno (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies),
  • University of Pardubice (Jan Perner Transport Faculty),
  • University of Defence (Faculty of Military Technology).

Excursions to universities

Our pupils regularly participate in excursions at a variety of colleges across the country. Selected candidates or entire classes attend open days, professional lectures during the year, but also specialized laboratory toursresearch institutes.

Thanks to these visits, students have the opportunity to:

🗸 get a glimpse of the college environment before you apply,

🗸 get acquainted with technical equipment and modern laboratories,

🗸 hear about current scientific and technological trends directly from university experts,

🗸 experience the practical side of science and research through interactive tasks or by observing demonstrations of experiments,

🗸 and gain inspiration for further studies or future career paths.

Lectures and workshops

During the school year, we also host a variety of lectures and workshops on current topics in the field by experts from universities.

For example, under the leadership of the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering of the CTU, in 2024, with the support of ČEZ made a fog chamber in the workshop to detect alpha and beta particles. In 2023, one of our graduates came back for a change and gave a lecture on the team eForce FEE Prague Formulain which students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of CTU develop various formulas (both piloted and autonomous) together.

Participation in competitions and projects

Every year, our selected students also participate in various competitions organized by universities, and some students also embark on joint projects with the assistance of university teachers.

In the school year 2024/2025, for example, a joint cooperation project with the Department of Informatics of the Faculty of Science of the South Bohemian University of Technology began. tasks related to drone programming.

Preparing future teachers

SPŠ SE Dukelská is also actively involved in the preparation of future teachers and offers them the opportunity for quality teaching practice in a real school environment.
