Cooperation with companies

Our school takes great pride in its diverse cooperation with companies from many sectors.

We provide students with opportunities for professional InternshipsPractice, involvement in real projects, meeting with Professionals and make valuable contacts that will enable them to make a smooth transition into the workplace after graduation.

We don't just teach our students theory, we prepare them for the real world - and that's why cooperation with companies is key for us. It allows us to connect teaching with practice, to acquire the latest know-how in the field and to offer students a specific career direction. We work with dozens of companies across industries - from engineering to IT to energy.

Forms of cooperation

💡 Days when companies meet students directly at our school. They present their activities, offer internships, look for new talent.

Day for companies

The aim of this annual school career guidance event is to to provide our 4th year students with current offers from cooperating companies. At some stations, students also meet our graduates who are already working in the company. During the whole Day for Companies, our students browse through the stations of individual companies and get an overview of possible cooperation and job offers, which they could possibly join right after graduation or after graduation.

You can see how previous years have been run here:

📌 Business Day 25 March 2025

📌 Business Day 25 April 2024

📌 Business Day 26 April 2023

Day for practice

The Day for Practice event is designed for change for pupils of 2nd and 3rd yearthat are due in that school year continuous 14-day internship. Students usually visit individual workplaces at certain time intervals, where companies gradually present them with offers of cooperation and inform them about the possibilities and conditions of the internship.

The previous editions were held as follows:

📌 Day for practice 14 November 2024

📌 Practice Day 16 November 2023

📌 Practice Day 21 December 2022

💡 We regularly invite you to our classes experts from companies - whether our Alumni or external professionals - who lecture directly to students in the classroom. They bring up-to-date technology, practical experience and inspiring examples of problem solving. This is one of the most accessible and highly effective ways for a company to introduce itself to students.

Representatives of companies usually come for one or more lessons and introduce the students selected topic from practice (e.g. innovations in certain technologies, real-life applications of interesting methods, etc.) This often allows students to see a direct link between what they are learning and what they will see in the field. There are often demonstrations of tools, methodologies, case studies, workflows or sharing of personal career paths.

In the 2024/2025 school year, our alumna visited us as part of the Girls' Club and gave a lecture on Status of women in technology. With the support of ČEZ, we also held lectures on the following topics: The Fog Chamber, Small modular reactorsHackathon. Traditionally, within the framework of this cooperation, the Chairman of the State Office for Nuclear Safety, Ing. Dana Drábová, Ph. D. - most recently on the topic of The world, Europe and nuclear energy.

All these lectures were a great success with the students.

💡 Ve Secondthird year, students of all disciplines take a compulsory continuous 14-day Practice in professional firms. They will gain experience, contacts and an idea of their future profession.

For companies, this means:

  • the opportunity to try out working with specific students - and perhaps, in time, develop them into future colleagues,
  • develop the professional skills of the younger generation - and the more a student experiences in practice, the more he or she will be able to apply in real life.

Students choose internships based primarily on their prior knowledge of the company, so they know what the company does, what technology it uses, and what is expected of them. Several different forms of presentation are used to do this:

  • Day for practicewhere companies present themselves directly on campus, which is a great opportunity to make yourself visible among hundreds of students across grades.
  • Expert lectures in teachingwhere the company can be introduced in the classroom and describe what the company does, what the students can participate in and what they should learn.
  • Excursions to the plantwhere students get a live look at a real production or development environment and can ask specific questions directly to experts on site.

In addition to the compulsory internships, our students also participate in the annual Nuclear Baccalaureate, which is a several-day internship culminating in a knowledge test. The aim of the program is to introduce young people to the operation of nuclear power, to promote interest in technical fields and energy, and to offer students the opportunity for future cooperation with CEZ Group.

For the third year in 2024/2025, the Robert Bosch plant hosted an internship for selected high school students, giving third-year students a taste of real engineering work in the form of a team project on a given topic. On our website you can read the evaluation of the past year, both from the company's point of view, yes from the perspective of our school.

Under the Erasmus+ programme, selected students from different professional backgrounds also participate in cross-border internships in companies where, in addition to excellent knowledge, language skills are also important. In the year 2024/2025 for example, 13 students went to Malaga, Spain.

💡 We arrange visits manufacturing plants, companies a Laboratories. Pupils see what the technology looks like in real life and can ask questions directly to people in the field.

Depending on their major, different classes go to companies related to their field of study across the grades. In recent years, for example, field trips to companies FIXED.zone (2ND ER), Robert Bosch (2ND ER), SouthTech (2. S), NPP Temelín (4TH SA), CEPS (4th year electro), PRE (3.EE), E.ON (1st EM and 2nd EM), EG.D (3rd EB and 4th EB), ŠKODA JS (3RD SB), Voltcom (2nd EA and 2nd EB), BRUSH SEM, ETD Transformers and ŠKODA Electric (4TH EB), TCP (4TH EA), EGE (3rd EB)... and many others!

Sometimes field trips also reward only the most dedicated students. V June 2025 A handful of selected students as the best solvers of the ČEZ Hackathon Dukelská 2025 competition visited the Temelín NPP site. Nuclear Baccalaureate.

💡 Some companies support us materially (e.g. hardware, equipment and new machines), others Financially. This allows us to innovate the equipment and conditions of teaching and thus better prepare students for the current conditions in the workplace.

ČEPS provides us with a generous donation twice a year, thanks to which we award the 1st and 2nd half of the year incentive scholarship to selected pupils. The motivational scholarship is not only awarded to pupils because of their excellent results, our criteria are much broader. So nominees are assessed for their involvement in competitions, expertise, attitude to learning, effort, interest beyond the classroom, conduct and performance, involvement in school projects and much more.

Thanks to the sponsorship of EGE in cooperation with Dukelská Primary School, we traditionally participate in the T-Profi competition, which focuses on popularizing technology among younger and older students. For many years now, our student teams have been successful in advancing to the national finals, where in the year 2025 won the 3rd place, in the years 20242023 we took 2nd place every time.

Many thanks to other companies for their sponsorship donations.

💡 Companies engage in joint projects, competitions or hackathons. Students work on real tasks and the company gets an interesting perspective of the young generation.

In the school year 2024/2025, following a lecture on cyber security, we participated with selected students in a pilot year of the competition ČEZ Hackathon. The best solvers were rewarded with small prizes on the spot and attended a selective excursion to Temelín NPP, which took place at the end of the school year.

Selected 2nd and 3rd year students also enthusiastically in front of company representatives present their year's work. Companies have the opportunity to see the results of our training, assess their professional level and presentation skills. Experts also like to be actively involved in the presentations - asking questions, examining students' knowledge and discussing possible solutions. At the end, they have the task of jointly

In recent years, we have welcomed several students from the Dukelská Secondary School in our company as part of a compulsory internship, workshop and holiday work. In this way we try to establish contact with potential new employees before graduation. Motivated and determined students have the opportunity to start their career in an international company and expand it in every conceivable direction, whether nationally or internationally. A large number of our employees graduated from the Dukelská Secondary School and many of them are now either long-time colleagues or are now applying the experience they have gained with us in another company. From my point of view, the possibilities for SPS graduates are limitless! Nowadays, when there is a shortage of employees, especially technicians, anyone who is interested in technology and has the skills can have a successful career.

Proof of how well SPŠSE students fit in at Loxon? Our successful colleagues graduated from the school and took the positions of head of partner coaching, head of support, head of the branch in České Budějovice or assistant manager of the International branch. We are happy to welcome students from Dukelská for excursions and internships. We are very pleased that SPŠSE belongs to the Loxone for Schools programme and has equipped classrooms for teaching building automation. If the pupils pass the Loxone exam, they meet the basis for working for us in a technical position - they know and use the Loxone Config tool and have an overview of programming. They can, for example, take on the role of Partner Coach, i.e. an expert and consultant in intelligent building automation, or they can become Loxone Partners and install and profit from the system themselves.
